Creating an organisation in Quizalto allows you to manage a group of users, share resources, and benefit from centralised billing and higher AI generation limits.

How to Create an Organisation

Organisations are currently created through the subscription process for an organisation-level plan.

1. Sign In: Ensure you are signed in to your Quizalto account. Organisation creation is a paid feature.
2. Navigate to Plans: Click on the “Plans” button from the navigation menu.
3. Choose an Organisation Plan: Select the “Business” plan
4. Enter Organisation Details: During the checkout process, you will be prompted to enter:
   • Organisation Name: The name of your new organisation.
   • Number of Licenses: The initial number of seats or licenses you wish to purchase for your members.
5. Complete Payment: Finalise the payment through our secure Stripe integration.

Accessing Organisation Settings

1. Sign In: Ensure you are signed in to your Quizalto account. Yoiu must be an organisation administrator to access this feature.
2. Navigate to Organisation Settings: From your profile page, click on the “Manage Organisation” option in the navigation menu.

Viewing your organisation details:

At the top of the page, you will see your organiusation name and organisation id. These are for information only.

Accessing Plan Information

Click on the “Plans” option in the navigation menu. This will take you to the plan comparison page.

Comparing Plans

On the plan comparison page, you will typically find a breakdown of:

• Plan Tiers: Different subscription levels (e.g., Free, AWS, Universal, Business).
• Features Included: A list of features available with each plan (e.g., daily quiz limit, AI generation limits, …).
• Pricing: The cost associated with each plan, often presented as monthly or annual rates. Note that we offer the last 2 months of every year free when paying annually.
• Benefits: A summary of the advantages of each plan.

Choosing and Subscribing to a Plan

1. Review Details: Carefully review the features and pricing of each plan.
2. Select Your Plan: Click on the “Select Plan” or “Upgrade” button for the plan you wish to subscribe to.
3. Complete Payment: You will be guided through the payment process. Follow the on-screen instructions to enter your payment details and confirm your subscription.

What Happens After Payment

Upon successful payment, your account will be upgraded to the selected plan. You should be redirected to a payment confirmation page. If all went well, your account information should have beeen updated and you should gain access to its associated features.

Quizalto’s AI Course Creation feature allows you to generate comprehensive educational courses in minutes. By providing a topic or a set of keywords, our AI will craft a structured course complete with chapters and content.

Accessing AI Course Creation

1. Sign In: Ensure you are signed in to your Quizalto account. This is a paid feature.
2. Navigate to AI Course Creation: Click on the “Custom courses” option in the navigation menu. A form is visible on the right hand side of the page which will allow you to create custom courses on any topic using generative AI. On the left hand side is a paginated list of courses you have previously generated.

Generating a Course

1. Enter Topic: Provide a clear and descriptive topic for the course you want to create (e.g., “Introduction to Quantum Physics” or “Beginner’s Guide to Gardening”).
2. Provide Giuidance (Optional): You can select the additional guidance to help the AI tailor the content.
   • Default Terse: This option provides a concise, yet informative outline that focuses on key points and essential information. It goes straight to the point and is ideal for quick reference or summarization. There will be a single chapter created as part of this course.
   • Default: This option provides a comprehensive and in-depth overview of the topic, covering all aspects and providing extensive details. There will be multiple chapters created.
3. Create course: Click the “Create course” button. The AI will first create a proposed structure for your course and then fill in the details for each chapter based on the topic and guidance provided. This can take a few minutes. Once complete the course will appear and you can start browsing its content.

Managing Your Courses

• View Courses: On the left hand side is a paginated list of courses you have previously generated. Click on the “Next” or “Previous” buttons to navigate the pages and click on “View Course” to view the course content.

Quizalto’s search functionality allows you to quickly find courses, exams, quizzes, and other educational content relevant to your interests. You can search by keywords, topics, or titles.

Accessing the Search Feature

1. Navigate to Search: You can find the search bar in the header of each page.

How to Search

1. Enter Your Query: In the search bar, type the keywords, topic, or title of the quiz, exam or course you are looking for.
2. Initiate Search: Press Enter or click the search icon.
3. Review Results: The search results will display a list of courses, exams and quizzes matching your query.

Filtering Results

Depending on your query, you can see a mix of:

Managing your organisation

If you an an administrator of an organisation, you will have access to additional features such as managing your organisation’s settings, adding or removing users from the organisation. This is explained in more details on our Organisation Management page.

Quizalto offers powerful tools to help you create engaging quizzes. You can either create quizzes manually, adding questions one by one, or leverage our AI-powered quiz creation feature for a faster process.

Accessing Quiz Creation

1. Sign In: Ensure you are signed in to your Quizalto account. This is a paid feature.
2. Navigate to Quiz Creation: Click on the “Custom quiz” option in the navigation menu. A form is visible on the right hand side of the page which will allow you to create custom quizzes on any topic using generative AI. On the left hand side is a paginated list of quizzes you have previously generated.

Generating a Quiz

1. Enter Topic: Provide a clear and descriptive topic for the quiz you want to create (e.g., “Introduction to Quantum Physics” or “Beginner’s Guide to Gardening”).
2. Create quiz: Click the “Create quiz” button. The AI will create 50 questions for your quiz, with 1 right answer, 3 incorrect answers and a rationale for each question. This can take a few minutes. Once complete the quiz will appear and you can start taking it. There is an option to copy and share a link the quiz. The link contains a seed so everyone with the same seed will get the same questions, in the same order with the same avialable answers, also in the same order.

Managing Your Quizzes

• View quizzes: On the left hand side is a paginated list of quizzes you have previously generated. Click on the “Next” or “Previous” buttons to navigate the pages and click on “View quiz” to view the quiz content.

Directly after signing in, when clicking on the Quizalto logo in the top left corner of the page when signed in, or when clicking on the explore button at the top of the page when not signed in, you will be taken to the home of the quizalto application. This is your central hub for accessing Quizalto’s features. While some features require you to be signed in, you can explore many parts of the application without logging in.

Quizalto provides a seamless and interactive experience for completing courses and taking exams and quizzes. This guide will walk you through the process of engaging with our educational content.

Accessing Content

1. Navigate to the User Application Home: From the quizalto’s app homepage, you can find thebrowse categories or use the search bar at the top of the page to find a course, an exam or a quiz.
2. Select Content: Click on the title of the course, exam or quiz you want to take.
3. Start Engagement: Click the course chapters on the left hand side of the page to start the course or click the “Start Exam” or “Start Quiz” button to begin.

Completing a Course

Courses are structured learning paths composed of several chapters. The course structure will be displayed, showing all available chapters.

Simple password change

If you have logged in and you want to change your password, you can follow these steps:

1. Go to the your profile page: Navigate to the your profile page.
2. Click “Change Password”: You will find a link or button labeled “Change Password”. This option will only be visible to you if you have logged in with your username and password.
3. Set New Password: You can enter and confirm your new password.
4. Confirm and Sign In: Once you’ve set your new password, you can use it to sign in to your Quizalto account.

Forgotten password

If you have forgotten your Quizalto password, you can easily reset it by following these steps:

Organisation Sign In (SAML SSO)

If you are a member of an organisation that has configured Single Sign-On, you should sign in using your company’s identity provider.

1. Use the Distributable Login URL: Your organisation administrator will provide you with a specific login URL for your organisation.
2. Identity Provider Authentication: You will be redirected to your organisation’s login page (e.g., Okta, Azure AD).
3. Return to Quizalto: After successful authentication with your provider, you will be redirected back to Quizalto and signed in.

Social Login

You can also sign in using your existing accounts from other platforms. This is often faster and doesn’t require you to remember another password for Quizalto.

Creating an account on Quizalto is quick and easy. Follow these steps to get started:

1. Navigate to the Sign Up Page: Click on the “Sign Up” button located in the top right corner of the homepage.
2. Select Your Sign-Up Method:
   • LinkedIn: Sign up using your LinkedIn account.
   • GitHub: Sign up using your GitHub account.
   • Google: Sign up using your Google account.
   • Email: Sign up using your email address.
     • Enter Your Details:
       • Username: Provide your username, what you would like us to identify you as.
       • Email Address: Provide a valid email address. This will be used for verification and account-related communications.
       • Password: Choose a strong password. We recommend a combination of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols.
     • Complete Registration: After filling in all required fields, Click the “Sign Up” button.

AI Exam Creation

Quizalto’s AI Exam Creation feature allows you to generate a bank of open-ended questions on any topic. This is an advanced feature available to users on premium plans.

Overview

Unlike AI Quiz generation which creates multiple-choice questions, the AI Exam generator focuses on open-ended questions that require written text answers. This more closely mimics professional certification exams and deep-dives into a subject.

How to Create an AI Exam

1. Navigate to the AI Exam Creation Page: Click on “AI Exam Creation” in the main navigation or from your dashboard.
2. Enter a Topic: Provide a clear, concise topic for the exam. For example: “AWS Lambda Best Practices” or “Microeconomics Fundamentals”.
3. Choose Guidance (Optional): If you are studying for a specific AWS certification, you can select it from the guidance dropdown. This helps the AI tailor the questions to the correct difficulty level and scope.
4. Generate: Click the “Create Exam” button. The process usually takes about 1-2 minutes.
5. View and Take the Exam: Once completed, you will see a link to your new exam. You can start taking it immediately or find it later in your “My AI Created Exams” list.

Best Practices for Topics

• Be Specific: Instead of “Science”, try “Photosynthesis in Marine Plants”.
• Use Context: If you want questions from a specific perspective, include that in the topic.
• Check the Guidance: If your topic is AWS-related, always use the appropriate guidance type for the best results.

Marking and Results

When you take an AI-generated exam, you will provide text answers. These are marked using our AI marking system, which compares your answer against the “Model Answer” generated during the exam creation process.
