Organisation Management

Quizalto provides powerful features for managing organisations, allowing groups of users to collaborate and share content efficiently. For information on how to create a new organisation, please refer to the Organisation creation guide.

Accessing Organisation Settings

  1. Sign In: Ensure you are signed in to your Quizalto account. Yoiu must be an organisation administrator to access this feature.
  2. Navigate to Organisation Settings: From your profile page, click on the “Manage Organisation” option in the navigation menu.

Viewing your organisation details:

At the top of the page, you will see your organiusation name and organisation id. These are for information only.

Single Sign-On (SSO) via SAML

Quizalto supports authentication through 3rd party provides via the SAML protocol. This allows users to authenticate with their existing accounts and seamlessly join your organisation.

You can configure your authentication provider’s metadata URL and click the “Save SAML Configuration” button. You will be provided with the Audience URI to use as the Audience URI in your 3rd party provider’s SAML configuration. You will also be provided with a SAML assertion URL that should be used as the Assertion Consumer Service (ACS) endpoint in your 3rd party provider’s configuration.

You are also provided with a unique organisation URL to use for login in your organisation. Distribute this URL to your members, and they should use this URL as their login URL.

Managing Organisation Members

As an organisation administrator, you can:

Managing Organisation Categories

Organisation editors and administrators can create and manage private categories that belong to your organisation. These categories are only visible to members of your organisation and help organise your content.

The category management page shows only the categories belonging to your organisation — public categories are not displayed here.

Organisation categories appear alongside public categories when browsing content, but are only visible to signed-in members of your organisation.

Note: This feature currently enables the creation and management of organisation-private categories only. Assigning quizzes, courses, or exams to these categories is not yet available through the interface — please raise a feature request if you need this capability. We are working to add content assignment in a future update.

Managing Public Categories (Global Administrators)

Global administrators with the admin role can manage public categories from the Admin Dashboard. Navigate to the admin dashboard and click “Manage Categories” to create, edit, or delete public categories that are visible to all users.

Understanding License Limits

Organisations have a fixed number of seats (licenses) based on their subscription plan. This limit determines the maximum number of members who can join the organisation.

If your organisation reaches its member limit, you will need to Upgrade Your Subscription to add more seats.

Managing AI Settings

Quizalto does not provide an API key to create AI content, you have to provide yours so that you have better control over the costs. You can add an API key for your organisations so that you can create AI content (We store the Gemini Api key securely encrypted in our database). Organisation members will use that API key. You can also remove the API key at any time.

Administrators can configure daily generation limits (per user per day) for AI-powered courses and quizzes at the organisation level. These limits are used to manage costs and resource usage across all members.

  1. Set Limits: In the Organisation Settings, you can specify the daily maximum for both courses and quizzes.
  2. System Defaults: If no limits are explicitly set, your organisation member are not restricted by daily generation limit.
  3. Enforcement: These limits are reset daily and apply to each organisation member (this not not aggregated for the orgamnisation).
